On 28th July, SANY’s authorized heavy truck dealer EGME in the UAE delivered the first batch of 110 heavy trucks to Noatum Logistics, a global leading company in transport and logistics and a member of AD Ports Group, in Abu Dhabi. As AD Ports Group’s first time introducing electric heavy trucks in port operations, the project marks a significant step toward building an efficient port and sets a new benchmark for sustainable logistics in the region.
The delivery ceremony took place at the Yas Marina Circuit, witnessed by senior executives from AD Ports Group, Noatum Logistics, EGME, and SANY UAE. The event featured a real-world trail run, an electric-versus-fuel truck racing game, and SANY’s presentation of integrated transportation-energy solutions, showcasing the technical strength of SANY’s new-energy heavy trucks all around.
During the ceremony, the two parties engaged in in-depth discussion on the adaptability, operational efficiency, and future application of electric heavy trucks in port operation, further strengthening the mutual trust in the cooperation. Following the successful delivery, the company planned an additional purchase of 300 more heavy trucks, highlighting its recognition of SANY’s products and solutions.
The milestone represents SANY’s major breakthrough in the Middle East market. Looking ahead, SANY will continue to leverage innovative technology, reliable products, and comprehensive service capabilities to support global customers in achieving greener, more efficient, and smarter operations.
For port operators across the Middle East, battery-electric terminal trucks are moving from pilots to routine fleets: lower tailpipe emissions, quieter operations and more predictable energy costs at the quay. The Abu Dhabi delivery is expected to act as a reference point for container ports and logistics groups evaluating the switch from diesel drayage, backed by local service and parts support from the UAE dealer network.
