Bangalore, April 14, 2025 — SANY India, a leading manufacturer of construction equipment, has played a crucial role in the swift and efficient completion of the piling phase for the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) Phase 2A – Package 2 project. Executed by Shankaranarayana Constructions Pvt. Ltd. (SNC), the project involved an extensive scope of 2,523 piles, all completed using eight high-performance SANY piling rigs.
Stretching through the heart of a bustling IT park, the entire project route faced continuous high traffic and complex logistical constraints, making execution particularly challenging. Despite these hurdles, the early completion of the piling phase was made possible by the zero downtime of SANY piling rigs, ensuring continuous operations.
The deployment of SANY's equipment not only ensured rapid execution but also highlighted the importance of reliable and efficient machinery in meeting critical construction timelines. The speed and precision of the piling process underscore the growing reliance on advanced technology to drive India's expanding metro infrastructure. Moreover, the project was executed in one of the toughest geological strata, setting a new benchmark for piling efficiency in such challenging conditions.
"The efficiency, reliability, and advanced engineering of SANY Piling Rigs have been instrumental in achieving swift project milestones," said Mr. Sanjay Saxena, COO, SANY India. "Our technology-driven approach has contributed to the seamless execution of the BMRCL Phase 2 construction, reinforcing our commitment to supporting India's infrastructure growth."
The success of the project underscores SANY India's pivotal role in the construction equipment industry. As metro expansion gains momentum across the country, high-performance construction machinery is more critical than ever, and the completion of the BMRCL piling phase exemplifies SANY India's commitment to innovation, durability, and operational excellence in urban infrastructure development.
Indian metro projects run through dense urban corridors where even a one-day rig stall cascades into traffic complaints and schedule penalties. High-utilization piling fleets that keep drilling through hard rock are becoming a deciding factor as cities across the country accelerate rail expansion.
