The SANY SCR series is engineered for non-coal mining where tougher salt and hard-rock seams demand more cutting power than standard coal roadheaders. It targets potassium and sodium salt ore projects and other non-metal underground workings.
The flagship SCR630 delivers 2×315 kW of cutting power and 867 kW total system power on a 178 t chassis, driving roadways 6.0–9.2 m wide. The SCR520A (2×260 kW cutting, 757 kW total, 168 t) covers large non-coal sections, while the SCR280 (280/200 kW cutting, 455 kW total) serves as a high-gradient roadheader for sloped drifts. All share the platform's heavy hydraulics and intelligent electric control.
